“She was a stray that took us a week to catch. She was a true “street dog“. Somebody dumped her in a school yard and she would not leave that schoolyard. She would lay out there in the freezing rain and just wait and wait. She would walk up and down main street in the middle of the road looking at every car that drove by, I suppose looking for her family. By the time she let us catch her she was just broken. I picked her up and carried her to Roseanna’s car down the street. She was freezing, it was New Year’s Eve. When she got to the shelter she was so unhappy and anxious. Tore up every thing we put in the kennel. Wouldn’t go outside. Wouldn’t eat. Tore her nose up on the kennel bars every day. Would not walk on a leash. It was terrible. Took a few days but she has made drastic strides. If I didn’t know the story I’d say she is as normal as the next dog. She’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever known. Very gentle. She eats, walks in her leash, runs in the yard, wags her tail, plays with daisy.”
