Marty needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Hi everyone! I'm Marty and I've got that irresistible "Tramp" thing going on. I lived in the streets for a while and a nice person was feeding me. At times, I hopped her fence to play with her dog and that was so much fun! Then winter came and I'm so glad the humans at The Street Dog Project rescued me. I now have a comfy bed and food everyday! The only thing I'm missing is a family to call my own. I am approximately 2 years old, 50 pounds, crate trained and housetrained. I've been told I have excellent house manners and haven't chewed on anything or been destructive in any way. I am still a bit shy and nervous in new situations. I just need some time and patience to settle in. Once I get to know you, you are my best friend! I love other dogs and gain confidence from following their lead so I would prefer a home with at least one dog companion. I am still working on leash training (I was always running free when I was a street dog!) so for now a home with a yard would be best for me while I keep working on my leash skills. I would do best in a home with no children or older children. Marty's adoption fee is $225 plus tax and that covers his neuter, vaccinations and he is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. If you are interested in Marty please fill out an adoption application on our website www.thestreetdogproject.org/adopt
