I was rescued from rural Texas with my 9 brothers and sisters. My foster family tells me I’m  a beautiful girl with black fur and lighter markings throughout my body, especially on my hind legs and neck. They think I’m a lab/Shepard mix and I weigh around 45 pounds and it's estimated I was born in March 2020..

I love to play with my 3 year old foster brother and then I need a good, long nap. Then I get up and we do the whole thing over again. And again! My other foster brother is 13 and he tolerates me even when I try to give him kisses on the mouth all the time. When I bug him too much, he gives me a soft “grrr” and I take my cue and leave him alone.I’m very food motivated and have been easy to train. I can sit, shake and I am learning down. I can walk on a leash and I love my kennel. If you tell me to  “kennel up” for the night, I go right in and make myself comfortable for bedtime. I am potty trained, too.

It does take me a while to feel comfortable with new people and new dogs, so I am looking  for an awesome adopter who understands and is willing to give me time to settle in and become part of my new family. Sometimes it's best if you ignore me when you meet me and let me do my thing before I let you know it’s okay. I especially would love a family with another young dog like me who can keep up with my activity level - I’m lots of fun!

What else can I tell you about me? I ride in the car just fine and I love soft blankets and beds and have been known to curl up with my foster family’s clothes, towels and even oven mitts to keep me company. And, if you like to buy toys, I’m your girl! I love toys of all kinds and am learning how to play tug-of war with my foster brother now!

Violet's  adoption fee of $250 plus tax covers her vaccinations, de-wormer, spay, microchip and she is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. She will make a great addition to a lucky family! Please fill out an application on our website if you'd like to see about adding Violet to your family: https://www.thestreetdogproject.org/adopt.
