Dachshund / Chihuahua / Mixed : : Female Learn more about the Dachshund. Learn more about the Chihuahua.
Rosie found herself in a shelter, starved half to death and faced with having to give birth on the cold, hard floor (and that’s if she was lucky). Miraculously she was saved, and raised 6 beautiful, perfect, well-behaved puppies that will never have to face the hardships she did. She has gained her weight back, healed her spirit, and shown what a wonderful dog she really is. And so now it’s Rosie’s turn to find her own forever family. Rose is 18lbs, not too big and not too small. She is between 1-2 years old, heartworm negative, and will be spayed and microchipped. Rosie’s ideal home is one where the people she loves are there more than away. She’s likes other dogs and cats, but humans affection is what she craves. In fact, she tries her best to communicate with you by sitting in your lap, putting a paw on either shoulder and gazing lovingly at you as if to say “thank you, this is much better than my last life, I love you.” She is always eager to learn what you want from her, and make you happy! Rosie is potty trained and good with all people, from children to the elderly. She is a very laid back girl who loves to cuddle, but at just over a year still enjoying playing and LOVES toys! She walks well on a leash, and knows not to stick her nose in her fosters dinner bowls, even though she finishes eating first! Rosie has spent the first part of her life caring for her own babies, and is ready to be someone’s baby herself!
