Meet Scruffy!

Scruffy is about 1.5 years old, and initially came to us for basic vetting in an outreach situation. Upon checking a bad limp on his front right leg, our vet discovered an old shoulder fracture that had led to chronic pain and severe muscle atrophy of said leg.

Scruffy's owner agreed to surrender him to us so that he could get the care he needed, and due to the extent of his pain Scruffy's right front leg was amputated (he didn't use it anyways!). After a battle with pneumonia shortly after, you might think Scruffy attitude would turn a little sour... not so! He has remained the SWEETEST gentleman, even in severe pain, and is finally healthy and happy and ready for his perfect home!

Scruffy has proven good with all people, dogs, AND cats. He is great on a leash and potty and crate trained. The loss of his leg has not hindered him and his mobility at all, and can do anything a 4-legged dog can. He is also up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative (current on prevention too!).
